The best time to inspect a construction activity is before it is covered by the next activity. A stage-wise checklist helps homeowners and project teams focus on the right observations at the right time.
Real project imagery for context.
These images come from the current KAINOS project library and are included to show the visual language of residential, commercial and design-stage work.

BEFORE CONCRETE
Check reinforcement, formwork, cover, openings, embedded sleeves and service coordination against drawings before the pour.
AFTER CONCRETE
Look for alignment, honeycombing or visible defects, curing practices and readiness for the next stage. Structural concerns should go to the engineer.
MASONRY AND PLASTER
Check line, level, opening dimensions, service chases and junctions. Confirm door and window openings before proceeding too far.
WATERPROOFING
Inspect wet areas, terrace and balcony treatments before final finishes cover them. Confirm drainage falls and outlets.
FINISHES
Check tile alignment, joint quality, door movement, window operation, paint consistency, fixture installation and visible defects.
HANDOVER
Use a formal snag list and close items systematically. Record warranties and relevant maintenance information where provided.
Use the guide with your actual project documents.
Online guidance can help you ask better questions, but the final construction scope should be based on the actual plot, drawings, engineering requirements, selections and project-specific BOQ.
